Joe Biden Announces White House Team

After appointing his adviser Ron Klain as White House chief of staff, United States President-elect Joe Biden has announced key members of the White House team.

Mike Donilon, Biden’s advisor and confidant, will serve as the senior advisor, and Steve Ricchetti, one of the campaign managers, will serve as one of the president’s advisers, The Guardian reports.

Campaign Director Jen O’Malley Dillon will serve as deputy director of personnel.

The campaign’s legal advisor, Dana Remus, will assume the role of adviser to the president.

Louisiana Representative Cedric Richmond will resign his seat in Congress and assume the role of adviser to the president and director of the White House Office of Public Participation.

Julie Chávez Rodríguez, who was deputy director of the campaign, will head the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs at the White House.

Annie Tomasini, Biden’s Advisor and Chief of Staff, will become the Chief Operating Officer for the Oval Office.

Jill Biden, future first lady, also announced the hiring of Julissa Reynoso Pantaleon, a former ambassador to Uruguay during Obama-Biden’s term as chief of staff, and Anthony Bernal, as her top adviser.

“The United States faces great challenges and brings diverse perspectives and a shared commitment to meet these challenges and emerge on the other side a stronger and more united nation,” Biden said in the statement that was intended to announce the new positions.
