THE Inmet, Organ linked to the Brazilian Government, issued an alert of “great danger”, which will last until Friday, due to the risk of death from hyperthermia, that is, an increase in body temperature that occurs when the body produces or absorbs more heat than it can dissipate.

The alert is managed for much of the Midwest region, more specifically for the federal units of the Federal District, Goias and Mato Grosso, and for the state of Tocantins, in the north of Brazil.

According to the Organ Brazilian, temperatures will register five degrees Celsius above average in the region on alert, for more than five consecutive days, and people should take special care of their health during that period.

The institute also warned of low humidity levels in these regions, raising the alert to the level of “danger”.

Until Wednesday, the relative humidity of the air will vary between 20% and 12%, with “risk of forest fires and health”.

Since last week, much of Brazil has registered temperature records, as a consequence of the permanence of a dry and hot air mass in the southeast and central-west regions of the country, which reduced the relative humidity of the air to levels below of what is considered ideal. by the World Health Organization (40%).

The meteorological situation has further aggravated the forest fires that have been recurring in these regions.
