Humberto Pedrosa and David Pedrosa resigned from their positions at TAP, the airline announced today.

“The reason for the resignations is related to possible implications, under evaluation, in the activities carried out by Grupo Barraqueiro, of the planned reorganization of the stake in TAP, SGPS of the Portuguese State,” the statement can read.

The statement clarifies that David Pedrosa will continue to collaborate with TAP “specifically in the restructuring process, maintaining Grupo Barraqueiro’s commitment to Grupo TAP as its reference shareholder.”

Thus, TAP SGPS decided to elect José Manuel Silva Rodrigues and Alexandra Margarida Vieira Reis for the positions of member of the board of directors of TAP for the rest of the term of the current mandate (2018-2020 (.

Alexandra Margarida Vieira Reis will also assume the role of member of the TAP executive committee.

In TAP SGPS and its majority-owned companies, Humberto Pedrosa and David Pedrosa were also replaced, respectively, by José Manuel Silva Rodrigues and Alexandra Margarida Vieira Reis.
