Around 30 hooded men robbed a branch of Banco do Brasil, in the Center of Criciúma, in Santa Catarina, Brazil, at 11:50 pm on Monday.

The armed robbers took hostages during the robbery, which lasted about an hour and 45 minutes, and placed several semi-naked people in the middle of the road, Globo says.

The group blocked several roads in the city with burning cars.

The goal was to steal the treasure safe. They used explosives and left about 30 kilos of the material.

A policeman and a guard were injured.

The thieves managed to escape with 10 cars, leaving much of the money scattered on the streets.

Four neighbors were arrested for taking a large amount of money from the ground.

The suspects were found Tuesday with large amounts of money in two suitcases. The same day the police discovered the 10 cars used in the crime.
