SAD do Famalicão is in talks with Monaco (France) to guarantee the loan of winger Gil Dias. Born in Gafanha da Nazaré, the 23-year-old Portuguese international started playing football in Gafanha, played for Sporting in 2007/08 and the following season he moved to Sanjoanense, where he spent five seasons, in which he gave so much to the eyes that made Braga hire him in 2013/14.

That year, he won the Nacional de Juniores A de Braga, started 2014/15 in Braga B, having moved to Monaco in the same season.

A sequence of assignments to Varzim and Rio Ave followed and it was in Vila do Conde (2016/17) where Gil had the best season of his career, with eight goals in 39 games. The winger emigrated again and meanwhile passed through Fiorentina (Italy), Nottingham Forest (England), Olympiacos (Greece) and in 2019/20 he played with Granada in the second half of the season, always contributed by the Monegasques.

Negotiations with Monaco are at an advanced stage, but the deal, however, is not closed. The eventual hiring of Gil Dias would close the imminent departure of Walterson, a Brazilian who is wanted by Moreirense, on loan, and who is receptive to change, since he intends to play more, which did not happen last season in “Fame”. Meanwhile, forward Campana is registered and is an option for the game against Belenenses.
