Guimarães has almost a third of the new confirmed cases in Minho

The districts of Braga and Viana do Castelo have 389 new confirmed covid-19 infections since last Monday, according to data published today by the General Directorate of Health (DGS).

Thus, since the beginning of the pandemic, Minho totaled 6,517 confirmed cases.

The district of Braga registers another 325 new cases. According to the DGS report, the district has accumulated 5,659 confirmed cases.

The municipality of Guimarães is once again the one with the highest increase in new cases: there are more than 115 in a week, totaling 1,417.

Famalicão is the second municipality in Minho with the most new cases: 60, for a total of 858.

Braga has 49 more cases (total 1,600), Barcelos more 19 (470) and Vila Verde more 27 (417).

In addition, almost all the municipalities of the Braga district registered increases: Vizela already has a total of 213 (+11), Fafe 180 (+12), Amares 122 (+7), Póvoa de Lanhoso 141 (+10), Esposende 94 (+7), Vieira do Minho 41 (+2), Celorico de Basto 37 (+5) and Cabeceiras de Basto 29 (+1).

Terras de Bouro maintains the same 40 as last week.

In the district of Viana do Castelo, according to the report, there are 64 new cases, now adding to Alto Minho an accumulated 858 infections since the beginning of the pandemic.

The greatest increases were registered in Viana do Castelo with 16 more cases (309 in total), and Valença with 14 more (67).

Ponte de Lima (74 in total) and Caminha (55) add up to 12 each.

Monção now has 131 cases (+1), Melgaço 68 (+1), Ponte da Barca 31 (+2) and Cerveira 25 (+6).

Arcos de Valdevez with 88 cases and Paredes de Coura with 10 do not register changes.

Portugal today registers 13 more deaths and 734 new cases of covid-19 infection, compared to Sunday, according to the daily epidemiological bulletin of the General Directorate of Health (DGS).

According to the bulletin, from the beginning of the pandemic until today, there have been 79,885 confirmed contagion cases and 2,018 deaths.

There are still 50,454 recovered, 247 more than yesterday.
