Growing demand for hills, land and farms

From April to May, the demand for real estate outside the major cities skyrocketed. According to an OLX study based on data from the platform, contacts made to advertisements for the sale of hills grew 62%, land increased 37%, farms increased 39% and rural houses increased 53%.

The regions of the country that registered the highest demand for agricultural holdings were Beja (+ 121%), Lisbon (+ 98%) and Viana do Castelo (+ 90%). The offer increase increased 7% in active ads and 6% in new ads from April to May.

The rural districts highlighted after the closure were Viseu (+ 178%), Coimbra (156%) and Aveiro (+ 139%). The offer grew 9%.
