Graça Freitas, general director of Health, spoke this Friday about the possible presence of an audience in the stadium stands, including Luz and D. Afonso Henriques.

At a time when Benfica and V. Guimarães will try to place an audience in the stands of their respective stadiums, the General Director of Health Graça Freitas made some clarifications this Friday. V. Guimarães will have already asked the health authorities for an opinion, but Benfica has not yet submitted any request for an opinion, according to the CEO.

“I have to make some clarifications. Regarding the delivery of the First League trophy, the DGS was asked for an opinion to help in the delivery of the trophy. It was a special event, at a special moment and in a certain epidemiological context. That opinion, for that event, was favorable, with a series of conditions as we usually do: physical distance, use of masks, no use of catering to prevent people from removing their masks. Since then, I believe that V. Guimarães will have asked to the local or regional health authorities. It did not reach DGS nor does it have to reach DGS at this stage. We had everything to do with football in the first phase of recovery, now that we are in a normal championship, with regular hours and hours of parties, a directive that is 36 that delegates this responsibility to evaluate case by case to the local health authority, who in case of doubt communicates with the regional and national authorities. I cannot comment on V. Guimarães because I do not I knew, ”he said.

“As for Benfica, as far as I know and because I consulted my teammates, there was no request for an opinion on whether or not they could have invited to see the game. This is the objective situation. There will be a request from V. Guimarães, in relation to the Benfica, we have no request for this match, “he added.
