The AIA Motor Clube, organizer of the Formula 1 Portuguese Grand Prix, has taken measures to reinforce vigilance on race day in the stands of the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, after yesterday there were cases in which social distancing is necessary so that those who violate the rules can be invited to leave the venue, without the right to return the value of the ticket. Speaking to JN, Paulo Pinheiro, general director of AIA, assured that the banks ‘Portimão’ and ‘Portimão 2’, which yesterday caused more ‘commotion’ in social networks and the press, due to the meeting of prohibited persons. , will be the target of a significant reinforcement of the police that aims to ensure that standards are met. The procedures to proceed are marked in the stands and spectators cannot leave their seats without having a good reason to do so.
Apparently, in the 11 AIA stands, only in these two, Portimão, 1 and 2, things did not go as originally planned.
According to witnesses in the place, there were no people without a mask, the spacing of places was effective, but with the passage of time people moved to places where they could see better and with this there were unexpected gatherings. In most cases, the spectators were divided into groups according to their area of residence and sat in alternate chairs.
