The Government must also take advantage of the next state of emergency to “differentiate” the rules in the municipalities, because not everyone has the same levels of contagion. According to the commentator, this measure was promised by the Government “twice” and so far it has not been fulfilled.
For Marques Mendes, this is part of a series of “failures” by the Government in managing the pandemic. The former PSD deputy said that “there are some faults of all of us”, but focused the criticism on the government’s actions, the most serious faults being those related to “planning, the lack of effectiveness of decisions and decisions taken with delay and in bad times ”. “There is no measure that is taken and that is not reviewed later,” he stressed.
The commentator also pointed at the number of exceptions to the rules imposed by the Government to control the pandemic. “The Government has taken several measures for several counties in the country, but they are more exceptions than the rules. It can’t be, ”he said.

Marques Mendes revealed that Portugal should start receiving the 11.5 million doses of vaccines, both the Astrazeneca vaccine and the Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine, starting in late January and early February 2021.
