Golfer in hospital to be operated on for leg injuries
Tiger Woods is hospitalized after a serious accident on Hawthorne Boulevard in Los Angeles. The American golfer’s car overturned and fell onto the shore. He was rescued at the scene by firefighters and paramedics and later transferred to a local health center.
“He is currently in surgery, we ask for privacy and we appreciate all the support,” businessman Mark Steinberg said in statements cited by Sports Illustrated, announcing leg injuries that require surgery.

“On February 23, 2021, at approximately 7:12 am today, LASD responded to a rollover vehicle collision on the border of Rolling Hills Estates and Rancho Palos Verdes.
The vehicle was traveling north on Hawthorne Boulevard at Blackhorse Road when it crashed. The vehicle suffered significant damage.
The driver and sole occupant was identified as PGA golfer Eldrick “Tiger” Woods. Mr. Woods was rescued from the rubble by Los Angeles County firefighters and paramedics, then taken to a local hospital by ambulance to treat his injuries. “
