ORa three year old girl was projected violently skyward in a kite festival that was launched into the wind. The situation occurred on Sunday afternoon, in the city of Hsinchuin Taiwan.
The 2020 International Kite Festival takes place in the city of Hsinchuprecisely because it is known for its strong winds. During the event, the girl was, in a way that she could not yet explain, ‘grabbed’ by the waist by a point of the cloth from which parrots are made, being immediately projected to the sky by the strong wind.
Images posted on social media, which can be viewed in the gallery, show that the girl was suspended for a few seconds until the parrot was shot down.
Despite the shock, the girl only suffered minor scratches on her face and neck. However, accompanied by the mother, the girl was referred to a hospital.
The local authority decided to cancel the event after the incident and the person in charge of the region, Lin Chih–dog, turned to the social network Facebook to apologize for what happened.
“The camera crewtimes sincerely apologizes to the victim and the public, ”Lin said. Chih–dog, adding that the authorities will initiate an investigation to prevent similar cases from being repeated.
