The bodies of five children were found in the apartment where they lived in western Germany, local police told the French agency France-Presse.
The police are investigating the fifth murder allegedly committed by the 27-year-old mother, who according to the newspaper Bild tried to commit suicide by throwing herself under a train and is seriously injured. There is still no information on the reasons for the death.
“We still can’t say anything about why. We must inform the mother, ”a police source told the newspaper. The same newspaper says there are three girls and two boys.
Alerted by the children’s grandmother, the police found the bodies of the children, between 1 and 8 years old, in the young woman’s apartment in the city of Solingen, in North Rhine-Westphalia.
Then the mother tried to throw herself under a train at Dusseldorf station, 35 kilometers from her home. Another boy, 11 years old, was at his grandmother’s house. The images show that the entrance to the building is closed and that there are police cars and ambulances, including forensic teams, on the scene.
