Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most anticipated games by gamers. The title launches today and promises a lot of fun, adventure and challenges for players around the world.
However, recently, a journalist suffered an epileptic fit during the game. From this case, it was concluded that Cyberpunk 2077 can promote epilepsy seizures to anyone who is predisposed to this condition, and therefore will have warnings about this situation.
This is not the first time that technology, like video games, has been associated with seizures. It's all related to the intensity and flickering of the lights that are displayed to the user.
At the end of November, for example, the social network TikTok began placing alerts on videos that could cause seizures to anyone who was watching them, and therefore already had a predisposition for this condition.
Cyberpunk 2077 can cause seizures
This is one of the most anticipated games and it will be released today, November 10th.
However, recently, journalist Liana Ruppert suffered an epileptic seizure while playing Cyberpunk 2077. Ruppert shared what happened on her Twitter account of the social network:

According to the journalist, the problem was related to patterns of flashes and lights and highlights a moment called Braindance, where players interact with their memories and where white and red lights flash in a fast frequency pattern before flashing white.
She says this scenario is reminiscent of the equipment that specialists use to trigger seizures in patients, in order to study the phenomenon for diagnostic purposes.
The game will have a warning about possible risks.
In this regard, the creator of the game CD Projekt Red, announced that it will add a specific warning about the possibility of epileptic seizures during the Cyberpunk 2077 exhibition.

For The Verge, a CD Projekt Red spokesperson said that “As soon as we heard about Liana's article, we got in touch with her and thanks for sharing her experience as she definitely put that aspect of the game under more scrutiny.".
In short, if you play this or other titles, in addition to watching some videos, and experience symptoms such as dizziness, changes in vision, headaches, spasms, disorientation, seizures, among others, you should turn off and, if you persist, go to the doctor.
