The philanthropic arm of the global luxury fashion online platform will be chaired by Carlos Oliveira, former Secretary of State for Entrepreneurship, Competitiveness and Innovation, founder of MobiComp (a company acquired by Microsoft in 2008) and current member of the European Innovation Council. and that it will have António Murta (CEO of Pathena, venture capital) as a non-executive director.

The Portuguese billionaire recognizes, in the letter, that Portugal does not have “natural resources” to “compete globally”, but presents a “generation of Portuguese with potential human and intellectual qualities that can put the country on the path of world leadership in the digital world”. , he adds.
The official presentation of the José Neves Foundation will take place on September 22, in a ceremony that will feature the banker António Horta Osório, the musician Will.i.am; Niklas Zennström (founder of Skype and atomic venture capital), James Higa (philanthropist and former Steve Jobs chief of staff), Naomi Campbell (model, entrepreneur and founder of Fashion For Relief) and Jean-Philippe Courtois (vice president). The launch of the José Neves Foundation took place today, in Lisbon, with the inauguration and presentation of two programs.
ISA FJN is based on the Income Share Agreement model, extended to 100 courses and trainings from 22 educational institutions (including Universities, Polytechnic Institutes and other training entities), partners of the Foundation. An investment of “five million euros” is estimated over the next two years and that it can support “around 1500 people in education” during the same period.
Brighter Future, a portal that shows the trends in Employment, Education and Skills in Portugal, as well as the most sought after professions and the employability of the different training areas, will be available from September 22.
