Five people from the same family were found dead at their home in the US state of Arkansas on Christmas Day.

The victims were two women and three girls between the ages of 8 and 50, according to Sheriff Shane Jones in an interview with Magnolia Reporter, while Jones also added that authorities were called when one of the victims’ relatives left. into the room and found their bodies.

Although Jones did not specifically identify the incident as a murder-suicide, he explained that it was “domestic” in nature and that there were no suspects at large, having relayed this information to the Arkansas Times, adding that the victims apparently died of gunshot wounds. However, the cause of death will not be confirmed until autopsies are completed at the state crime lab. It should be noted that the sheriff said the investigation “will take many days” and that more details will be shared as soon as they are confirmed.

It should be noted that investigators from Jones’ office in Pope County explained that they received a phone call at 5:15 pm on Friday, indicating that there was “suspicious activity” inside a home on Pine Ridge Road, approximately 105 kilometers from the city of Little Rock.
