The Government delivered this Wednesday, in parliament, the law that makes the use of a mask in the street mandatory and the “use of the Covid StayAway in the workplace or similar, school and academic”, under penalty of a fine of up to 500 euros.

The Executive has urgency in discussing this diploma and proposed that it be debated on Thursday, October 23, a government source told Lusa.

In the text, to which Lusa had access, a system of fines of between 100 and 500 euros is foreseen for cases of non-compliance with the law.

Article 4 of the law establishes that “the use of the Stayaway Covid application is mandatory, in the workplace or similar, school and academic context, by the owners of equipment that allow it.”

And it is determined that this obligation “covers in particular workers of public functions, employees and agents of the Public Administration, including the business sector of the State, regional and local, professionals of the Armed Forces and Security Forces.”

A third provision establishes that the user with a confirmed case must, “in the terms defined by the DGS”, complete the codes in the application.
