FIFA president says Ronaldo is a ″ living legend ″ of world football

FIFA President Gianni Infantino congratulated Cristiano Ronaldo for the more than 100 goals scored for the Portuguese team, considering a feat “only within the reach of a living legend” of world football.

The president of the governing body of world football sent a message to the Portuguese international after the match in Sweden announced by FIFA.

The Madeiran, who became the second player in history to score 100 goals for a national team, is now approaching the all-time record, 109 for Ali Daei, now 51, whose career high point was Bayern. Munich in 1998/99.

The Portuguese said on Tuesday that he was “very happy” for the victory against Sweden (2-0), in the Nations League, and for having reached 101 goals for Portugal’s main team.

“Of course, reaching 100 and then 101 goals, with two goals, makes me very happy,” he said in the short post-match interview.
