Fenprof says on Friday that there are cases of covid-19 in 122 schools in the country.
The National Federation of Teachers has even published the list of all affected schools.
Fenprof’s national secretariat, meeting in Lisbon, updated the map of covid-19 situations that have already appeared in public and private educational and teaching establishments and, confirmed, there are already, at least, 122 in which they were detected positive cases students, teachers and / or non-teaching workers, distributed in 66 municipalities. Surely there will be a greater number of establishments affected, but these are 106 public and 16 private confirmed by Fenprof “, writes the federation, in a statement sent to the editorial offices.
Fenprof also indicates that “the majority” of the 122 schools have active cases and that “the number of infected is more than one”therefore strange, “DGS Accounts”, which only identifies 23 outbreaks in schools across the country.
Right now, levels of concern from teachers, and beyond, have risen, given the way the Ministry of Education, health authorities and schools are addressing the problem. Therefore, Fenprof requires the Ministry of Education “the guarantee of adopting standardized procedures in all municipalities of the country, as well as conducting tests whenever covid-19 situations arise in schools”.
The federation also insists that the “the list of establishments in which there have been or have been cases of covid-19 and what procedures have been adopted in each of them”, giving the Ministry ten days for the information to be available, otherwise “will appeal to the courts”.
