This Wednesday, FC Porto won its 22nd soccer Super Cup, defeating Benfica in the final 2-0, in a match played in Aveiro and decided with goals from Sérgio Oliveira and Luis Díaz.
The ‘dragons’ advanced in the 25th minute, through a penalty converted by Sérgio Oliveira, having confirmed the victory in the 90th minute, through the Colombian Luis Díaz.
This was the 12th final of the competition between the two teams, with FC Porto claiming the 11th victory over the ‘Reds’, in a total of 22, while Benfica and Sporting each have eight trophies.
Unlike the last seasons, the Cândido de Oliveira Super Cup did not open the season and was postponed until December, due to the adjustments in the calendar caused by the covid-19 pandemic.
