The Brazilian singer Matheus, from the Lucas y Matheus duo, died this Tuesday at the age of 57 due to complications associated with covid-19.
The news is advanced by the G1 news portal, which says that Edilson da Silva Rodrigues, the name of the singer, was admitted to intensive care in a Presidente Prudente hospital, after having tested positive for the new coronavirus. A week ago he had to be intubated due to the worsening of the disease.
According to the Brazilian website, Matheus began experiencing symptoms after arriving in Brazil from Portugal, where he performed various performances.
The brothers Lucas and Matheus had more than 25 years of careers and a long history in Europe, mainly in Portugal and in countries with Portuguese immigrants.
