According to government information, theFrequent private passengers and passenger vehicles will have discounts when going through Ex-SCUT tolls. These discounts will be applied from the first day of January 2021.
What discounts apply to Ex-SCUT and routes included?
- Class 1 and Class 2 vehicle holders who are frequent passengers on the old routes without cost to the user (SCUT) forpenalties will pay tolls in the first seven days of use in a month, which can be tracked or interpolated, with discounts of 25% on subsequent entries.

The routes included in this measure are:
- A22 (to Via do Infante, not Algarve)
- A23 - Autopista Beira Interior (either the IP concession or the Beira Interior concession)
- A24 - North Inland Highway
- A25 - Beiras Litoral and Alta Highway
- A28 - Autovía Norte Litoral, A4 (in the Transmontana sub-concession and in the concession of the Marão Tunnel section)
- A13
- A13-1 (known as Pinhal Interior subgrants)
Ex-SCUT discounts currently used for cargo vehicles will be updated and extended to passenger vehicles.
The four existing ordinances that currently exist with discounts granted to the transport of goods will be "harmonized" and will be replaced by a single ordinance, reveals Lusa.
This ordinance will establish that the harmonized discount for freight vehicles and passengers goes from 30% to 35% during the day and from 50% to 55% at night, weekends and holidays.
