The Tesla CEO’s crazy ideas are no longer a big surprise to most users, but it seems like Elon Musk has once again managed to surprise everyone and everything. Through a post on his Twitter account, Musk challenged his followers, proposing the development of augmented reality games for Tesla cars.
However, what ended up causing chaos in this post was the fact that Musk clearly proposed that these games could be played while the car is on the road. It is true that he made it clear that “driving safely” should be possible, but it seems difficult to imagine a scenario in which this is realistic.
Unsurprisingly, many users have accused the Tesla CEO of being simply insane, while others already point to the possibility that the company’s stock plummets thanks to this suggestion from Elon Musk.
Elon Musk already has dozens of programmers willing to work on these games.
In the posted tweet, Elon Musk asks if they think it’s possible to develop a multiplayer mode for Minecraft in their cars. Alternatively, check out other games like Pokémon Go, Pac-Man, or Mario Kart. Interestingly, among the dozens of comments attacking Tesla’s new CEO idea, there were also plenty of programmers claiming to be an idea that can be developed.
Still, one of the programmers who responded to Elon Musk says that developing an online mode can be quite a challenge.
Regardless of whether it’s a real possibility or not, it seems pretty clear that this would be a terrible idea. Augmented reality games in a Tesla car don’t seem to be a problem, unless they work when users drive.
It is not difficult to remember dozens of situations where Pokémon Go players suffered serious accidents while playing on their smartphone. Moving from the game to a moving car is synonymous with extreme danger.
