Speaking to Lusa, the mayor, Carlos Monteiro, admitted that this is the first time that an operation of this magnitude related to a building has been carried out in Figueira da Foz, justifying it because it is “the cheapest way to transport and reuse it” .
“Between what the building is worth and the value of the transport and installation operation in the camp to make it functional, there is a favorable differential,” said Carlos Monteiro, adding that the prefabricated building will function as a ‘bungalow’ in the new location. .
According to the data made available by the mayor, at the time of the agreement made with the former owner, who received a compensation of 80 thousand euros, the Swell “was evaluated by an external expert [à câmara] at 62 thousand “euros.

This building will not be relocated and will be dismantled, and the owner will choose to build a new one, in the same area as Cabedelo, Carlos Monteiro said.
