The Government will once again extend the acceptance of the driver’s license and the expired citizenship card since February 24.
The Council of Ministers this Wednesday determined the extension, until March 31, 2021, of the attendance of documents, according to the statement sent after the meeting.
Documents such as the driver’s license, citizen ID, certificates and certificates issued by the civil registration and identification services, documents and visas related to the stay in the national territory, as well as licenses and authorizations, can be read at document published on the official government website.
The documents will continue to be accepted even after March 31, 2021 as long as the holder proves that he has already scheduled the respective renewal.
It is recalled that, since the new coronavirus arrived in Portugal, the Government has successively expanded the acceptance of expired documents.
Until now, expired documents would only be accepted until the 30th of this month of October.
