Donald Trump’s presidential campaign Twitter account is now active again. The account was suspended after a video was shared that violated the company’s policy on the disclosure of pirated private information.

The video in question was related to a story in the New York Post about alleged connections of Hunter Biden, one of the sons of former vice president and Democratic candidate Joe Biden, with the Ukrainian energy company. Several people linked to the Trump campaign and the White House who shared the same video also saw their accounts blocked, but this also turned out to be true for other users without connections to the current president, such as journalists who shared the story.

When contacted by Reuters, Twitter declined to clarify why the campaign account had been unlocked.

However, the Senate Judicial Committee decides to summon the executive director of the social network to testify before the senators in this regard. The Senate is expected to vote on whether the subpoena is actually sent on the 20th. Jack Dorsey, Twitter’s top official, has already acknowledged it through cheep the lack of communication on this issue, describing as “unacceptable” the decision not to report the reasons for the blocking of the accounts in question.
