According to the newspaper, which makes the headlines on this issue this Sunday, this coroner was performing autopsies at the Hospital de Santa María and it was Carlos Durão who contacted the Judicial Police (PJ) in March of this year, to raise suspicions that Ihor Homeniuk had been the victim of homicide.

The “Correio da Manhã” writes that the PJ will also be investigating alleged pressures to which the doctor may have been subjected, since, according to the newspaper, he would have been “called” to attention due to the speed with which he prepared the report.

The suspicion of murder in March of a Ukrainian citizen by elements of the Foreign and Border Service (SEF) at Lisbon airport shocked the country, the accusation came quickly, but only generated a political “tsunami” in November.
