DianaFM »Covid-19 outbreak originated in the Évora school with 25 cases

A total of 25 cases of covid-19 have already been confirmed in a new outbreak detected in Évora at a school.

The information was provided to DianaFM by the mayor of Évora, Carlos Pinto de Sá.

According to the mayor, the people infected in this outbreak are “school employees and children” and also relatives.

This outbreak “is still being investigated” by the Public Health Authority, so “cases may still increase in the coming days,” he said.

According to the mayor, the school has been temporarily closed for a week.

Pinto de Sá said that the most recent data sent to the municipality by the Public Health Authority, referring to last Saturday, points to the existence of 250 active cases of covid-19 in the municipality of Évora.
