This first contract had a validity of 40 days and was closed by direct agreement for 19,600 euros (plus VAT), and its objective was to process data from covid-19.

This month, DGS signed a contract with the same company for a value of 39,200 euros (48,216 with VAT), for the preparation of the epidemiological bulletin covid-19 in the next 121 days, the contract said on the Base portal, until the end. of the year. It gives 398 euros per newsletter.

DGS clarifies to SOL that the use of a new company resulted from the unavailability of the first in view of the complexity and increase in data volume. The General Directorate of Health ensures that the human resources of the national health authority have been strengthened and that it has been working in conjunction with the Shared Services of the Ministry of Health (SPMS) to ensure these services without external support, however, at this point they are still needed. During this period, the use of external support to prepare the status report is justified ”, he explains.

The privacy of data processing is guaranteed. “The company was bound by a confidentiality agreement and only has access to the minimum necessary,” says the DGS.
