The General Directorate of Health (DGS) says that three positive cases of covid-19 have been detected at its headquarters “so far.” According to a statement issued Wednesday, 10 workers are in prophylactic isolation.
As previously reported, the Director General of Health is one of those infected. According to the same note, Graça Freitas “maintains mild symptoms.”
The DGS reports that the cases were confirmed in the context of the epidemiological investigation that is being carried out, in conjunction with the Health Authority, “as stipulated in current regulations, only applying a test when it is considered relevant.”
Regarding the operation of the institution, it will be maintained “through its general deputy directors, its directors and workers.” According to the statement, “a large part of the equipment was teleworking,” which allows “guaranteeing the replacement of workers who will remain in isolation or prophylactic isolation.”
