According to the company, due to the guidelines derived from the current public health situation, caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, trips are made with “capacity limited to two thirds of its total capacity.”

Due to this limitation, the number of seats offered is 168 per circulation.

The use of a mask on board is mandatory throughout the trip.

According to CP, next Sunday the historic train will make a trip dedicated solely to health professionals.

With this trip, the company “intends to give a sign of recognition and gratitude to healthcare professionals for their outstanding and fundamental role in the fight against the covid-19 pandemic.”

The company said the program begins at Régua station and, before boarding, customers receive traditional songs from the region and a toast with Port wine.

Tickets can be purchased online, with prices ranging from 20 euros for children (4 to 12 years) and 42.50 euros for adults.

In 2019, the campaign ran from June 1 to October 26.

The historic train program of the Duero line began in the late 1990s.
