Six out of ten municipalities in the country in the red. More serious in the districts of Bragança and Vila Real. The rise in hospital admissions puts pressure on hospitals. 91 people died in Portugal.

The pandemic continues to charge in shades of red on the north coast, but shows signs of slowing down in the worst-hit counties. In Lousada, Paços de Ferreira and Felgueiras, the first affected by the new wave of restrictions, on October 23, the incidence of covid-19 continues to be among the highest, but is decreasing. In contrast, in the northern interior the spread of the virus is aggravated. In the country, this Monday there were four thousand more cases and 11 people were admitted to the Intensive Care Unit, redoubling the pressure on hospitals.

With more than three thousand infections per one hundred thousand inhabitants, it is in Lousada and Paços de Ferreira where the infection is most serious. But it is also where transmission fell the most in the north: Paços de Ferreira fell 43% and Lousada 32%. Data from the North Regional Health Administration (ARS), accessed by the JN, compare the week ending November 11 with the previous week. They are, therefore, different from the data of the General Directorate of Health, which refer to the 14 days prior to November 10 (the DGS does not reveal data for the previous fortnight).
