The Chamber of Barcelos approved the launch of the public tender, for 1.3 million euros, for the removal of asbestos in 15 schools in the municipality, the municipality announced today.
In a statement, the municipality indicates that the contract must be divided into five lots, with execution periods ranging between 180 and 360 days.
The establishments to operate are kindergartens and primary schools in Tamel S. Veríssimo, Galegos S. Martinho, Galegos Santa Maria, Vila Frescaínha S. Martinho, Abade de Neiva, Silva, Perelhal, Areias de Vilar, Pousa, Remelhe, Moure, Cambeses, Milhazes, Carvalhal and Cristelo.
At the meeting on October 23, the municipal executive approved a set of grants to 13 parishes, for a total amount of € 234,279.45, intended to participate in the construction of schools, expansion, requalification and resurfacing of streets, construction of walls , construction of rainwater drainage systems and works in cemeteries.
