The Delegate of Public Health of the Association of Health Centers (ACES) of the Middle Tagus, Maria dos Anjos Esperança, reported the evolution of the number of deaths to 89 (+34) and that they result from an update of the figures in the region . The deaths are mainly related to outbreaks in houses in Alcanena, Abrantes, Ourém and Tomar, and this is mainly the result of this increase in the number of deaths in the Middle Tagus.
Abrantes is the municipality with the highest mortality rate, with a total of 24 deaths, followed by Alcanena, with 18, and Torres Novas, with 13. Ourém registers 10 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic, and Entroncamento and Tomar add up to 9. This Sunday Lezíria do Tejo presents 43 new cases, 45 recovered patients, two deaths and a cumulative total of 4,054 patients, of which 1,422 cases in the municipality of Santarém, according to the Regional Network.
