Covid-19: Portugal with 196 more deaths and 2,505 more infected

Portugal registered, in the last 24 hours, 196 more deaths and 2,505 new cases of covid-19 infection, according to the epidemiological bulletin this Monday of the General Directorate of Health (DGS).

The number of new cases continues to trend downward, as do deaths. Since January 18, the number of deaths has not been less than 200 and since December 28 the number of new cases has not been so low.

Portugal has a total of 767,919 confirmed cases, resulting in 14,354 deaths.

In the last 24 hours, 6,755 people have been cured, a figure higher than that of new cases and that causes the number of active cases to drop to 140,644, 4,446 less than the previous day.

However, there was an increase in the number of hospitalized patients, reaching 6,344.96 more than the previous day, and more patients in intensive care, totaling 877.12 more than in the previous report.

The Lisbon and Tagus Valley region is once again the one with the most new cases (1,760) and the most deaths (100), followed by the North region, where there are more than 379 new cases and 32 deaths.

In the center there are 177 more infected and 38 deaths, in Alentejo 60 new cases and 19 deaths and in the Algarve 61 cases and four deaths.

In Madeira there are 58 more cases and three deaths and in the Azores ten more are infected.

40-49 years: two men and two women
50-59 years: six men and three women
60-69 years: 11 men and three women
70-79 years: 27 men and 13 women
Over 80 years: 56 men and 73 women
