Covid-19: Portugal with 152 more deaths and 10,385 new cases

Portugal has more than 10,385 cases of covid-19 and 152 deaths, said the General Directorate of Health in the most recent epidemiological bulletin.

There is a decrease in relation to the 166 deaths and 10,947 infected the day before, the worst day of the pandemic in Portugal, but this is the fifth consecutive day with more than ten thousand new cases.

Our country now registers a total of 8,861 deaths from covid-19 and a total of 549,801 cases of covid since the start of the pandemic.

The number of hospitalizations increased again and is the highest since March. There are 4,889 people hospitalized, 236 more than the previous day. In the Intensive Care Units there are 647 patients, also the highest number, an increase of nine compared to Saturday.

There are 4,387 more people recovered, a total of 406,929 people cured since the start of the pandemic, but there are currently 134,011 people infected, 5,846 more than the previous day.

Lisbon and the Tagus Valley was the region where there were more deaths (59) and more new cases (4,190) in the last 24 hours, while the North Region had 33 more deaths and more 3,448 new cases.

In the Center there were 42 deaths and 1,862 infected, in Alentejo 12 deaths and 388 new cases and in the Algarve three deaths and 348 infected.

In Madeira there were three deaths and 118 new cases. There were no deaths in the Azores and 31 more were infected.

The fatalities in this report are:
30-39 years: a woman
50-59 years: two men and one woman
60-69 years: six men and three women
70-79 years: 26 men and 13 women
Over 80 years: 48 men and 52 women
