The Bonito Social Center in Amorim closed its doors, there are several infected students at the AM Dance Studio academy and a 4th grade class from the Grande Colégio is in prophylactic isolation. Covid-19 is already making a dent in the start of the school year in Póvoa de Varzim.
At the Bonito Social Center in Amorim, all services (nursery, kindergarten and ATL) are closed. The JN knows that there will already be several cases, so the Health Delegation recommended the immediate closure of all services until next September 30. For these cases, the Escola Nova ATL, in the center of the city, also closed.
At AM Dance Studio, a kickoff party for the school year will have been the focus. There are several infected students and the tests continue. Due to one of these cases, a fourth grade class at Grande Colégio is in preventive isolation.
“With the rigor we have in the measures implemented, it will be difficult for there to be contagion within the school,” the director of the Grande Colégio, Rui Maia, told JN. Even so, and complying with the guidelines of the Health delegation, he explains, all the students in the class, as well as the teacher, were placed in prophylactic isolation.
The two dozen students will begin, starting tomorrow, with distance classes. For now, all are asymptomatic. They will remain in prophylactic isolation until September 30.
