The DGS report also reports 52 deaths in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths from covid-19 in the country to 2792. The north is also the region of greatest concern, accounting for more than half of new infections (3,006). Lisbon and the Tagus Valley follow, with 1495 new cases. There are still 676 cases registered in the Center, 194 in the Alentejo, 156 in the Algarve, 19 in the Azores and four in Madeira.

Hospitalizations continue to increase. This Friday, 2425 people are hospitalized (63 more than the previous day), the highest number in history. 340 people are in intensive care, 20 more than on Wednesday.
