Military personnel of the Republican National Guard (GNR) interrupted on Wednesday, September 16, the celebration of a wedding with about 300 guests in the municipality of Moura.

In a statement published on the website, GNR states that “after learning that a wedding would be held that violated the rules of Council of Ministers Resolution No. 70-A / 2020, in the field of the covid-19 pandemic , Guarda verified that no opinion had been asked to the Health Authority and, going to the place, confirmed the presence of about 300 people ”.

The action, carried out by the Beja Territorial Command, through military personnel from the Moura Territorial Detachment, “caused the event to be interrupted, leaving only the citizens residing in the place.”

GNR also reveals that, during the operation, no incident was recorded and that the case was referred to the Moura Judicial Court.
