This procedure was “duly articulated with HESE,” said the ARS, based on information from the Public Health Authority and ACES Alentejo Central.

The Public Health Authority and ACES Alentejo Central revealed that, of the total of 39 people tested at home, “so far 29 users and seven employees have been confirmed positive” for the disease caused by the new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2.

The first positive case detected in this home was that of an elderly man who was transported to HESE on Thursday, where he was tested for the disease.

On Friday the tests were carried out on the rest of the users and all the household employees, which according to the city council, on Saturday morning, showed 39 positives, that is, 29 elderly people and 10 workers, although now the Health only confirms seven employees.

The mayor of Évora, Carlos Pinto de Sá, revealed that the house is illegal because it is located in an area of ​​the city whose urbanization plan does not allow the installation of this type of institutions.

On Saturday, the authorities evaluated the elderly with covid-19 and the conditions of the institution, to decide on a possible evacuation of the space, but this did not happen during the day, and the places where users could possibly be transferred were also evaluated. . .
