With approximately 250 thousand inhabitants, the 13 municipalities of the Middle Tagus today add a total of 1976 confirmed cases (+65) of contagion by the new coronavirus (1896 in ACES Médio Tejo and 80 in ACES Pinhal Interior Sul – 73 in Sertã and 7 in Vila de Rei), 897 people recovered (850 in ACES Médio Tejo, 45 in Sertã and 2 in Vila de Rei (ACES PIS) and 30 deaths.
ACES Médio Tejo covers the territorial area of 11 municipalities with approximately 235 thousand users, and covers the health units of Abrantes, Alcanena, Constância, Entroncamento, Ferreira do Zêzere, Mação, Ourém, Sardoal, Tomar, Torres Novas and Vila nova da Barquinha , in a territorial area of 2,706.10 square kilometers.

The municipality only mentions the occurrence of 68 cases, of which 38 are recovered and 29 are active. There is a death to regret. Ponte de Sor became part of the list of municipalities with a high risk of transmission of covid-19, subject to more restrictive measures such as the curfew, as of next Monday, the Government announced.
Gavião, in turn, today has a cumulative total of 22 cases of covid (+3), with 12 people already recovered from the disease. There are 10 active cases in the county.
Lezíria region with a total of 2778 confirmed cases since March
Lezíria do Tejo presented 45 new cases on Saturday and a cumulative total of 2,778 patients, of which 1,034 cases in the municipality of Santarém, according to data from the Regional Network. Chamusca had a total of 92 confirmed cases yesterday, including four deaths, and Golegã registers 46 infections. The Lezíria region has 72 deaths, 29 of which in Santarém, and 1906 people have recovered from the disease.

In the autonomous regions of Madeira (seven more cases) and the Azores (another 26 cases), there were no fatalities either.
Regarding hospital admissions, the epidemiological bulletin reveals that 2,929 people are hospitalized (131 more than on Saturday), of which 415 are in intensive care (two more patients).
The DGS also says that health authorities have 94,604 contacts under surveillance, more 2,668 compared to Saturday, and that 2,549 more patients have been recovered in the last 24 hours, out of a total of 125,066 since the start of the pandemic in March. .
Confirmed cases are distributed in all age groups, with the highest number of infections between 20 and 59 years.
