According to data released this Saturday by the General Directorate of Health, there are more than 2,577 cases of contagion and 19 more deaths.
In terms of recovery cases, there are 1,035 more, and there are 119 more people hospitalized, nine of whom are in intensive care. Since April, not so many people have been hospitalized.
In terms of geographic distribution, the north is the region with the most new cases: there are 1,696, followed by the Lisbon region and the Tagus Valley (492 more), the Center region (more 290), the Alentejo region (more 44 ), the Algarve region (42 new infections), Madeira (11 more) and, finally, the Azores (two more).
It is also in the North where the greatest increase in the number of deaths is registered: 10. In Lisbon, there are eight more deaths and, in Alentejo, one more. In the Central, Algarve, Madeira and Azores regions there is no record of deaths in the last 24 hours.
As for the total data, they are as follows: so far 118,686 cases of contagion have been confirmed and 2,316 people have died. 68,877 recovered.
