ORA couple from Minas Gerais, Brazil, died of COVID-19-19 the same day after 58 years of living together, reveals G1.
Benedito Pinto de Castro, 79, and Ermelinda Claret Ribeiro de Castro, 78, died this Saturday with a difference of less than four hours, after being hospitalized for several days at the Hospital das Clínicas Samuel Libâchild.
Despite the fact that the elderly couple followed the rules of social isolation, the 11 August Benedito was admitted to the hospital after being diagnosed with COVID-19-19. She already had cancer. Soon after, Ermelinda also tested positive for COVID-19-19.
Almost two weeks after Benedito was hospitalized, Ermelinda was also admitted to the hospital. They spent several days in intensive care before dying.
The couple leaves behind five children, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
