Shaanxi province, in central China, registered three cases of covid-19 on Friday, all Chinese citizens returned to the country through the Lisbon airport.

According to the Shaanxi Provincial Health Commission, on Friday two Chinese, one 47 and the other 55, tested positive for the new coronavirus, which causes covid-19, when they arrived in the provincial capital, Xi ‘. a.

One of the men came from Angola and the other from Cape Verde, both passing through Lisbon, where they took a Beijing Capital Airlines flight to Xi’an.

On Sunday, the Commission revealed another case of covid-19, this time asymptomatic, detected during the isolation period of a 40-year-old man. The Chinese left Bolivia and passed through São Paulo and Lisbon before landing in Xi’an on October 4, having tested negative upon arrival.

The covid-19 pandemic has already claimed more than 1.1 million deaths and more than 40.4 million cases of infection worldwide, according to a report prepared by the French agency AFP.
