When he was elected by the councilors to also be a judge of the Constitutional Court (TC) in February 2014, the university professor João Pedro Caupers left a warning about the opinion texts he had written for publication online at the Faculty of Law of the Universidade Nova for four years. Some were very outdated, motivated by current affairs, and I wouldn’t have written them the same way afterwards. “Serious and bitter texts, some, light and silly, others”, he evaluates. “I wrote what I wrote and I assume inherent responsibility. But, in most cases, I would write what I wrote ”.
