Caupers also said that he was displeased with the posters that the Lisbon City Council had spread around the city, “under the pretext of fighting discrimination, promoting homosexuality,” in reference to a campaign by the Ilga-Portugal Association that featured a photograph of a woman. and a child and the question: “If your mother were a lesbian, would something change?”

Four years after joining the TC, João Pedro Caupers was called, along with the other councilors, to comment on the first version of the “belly rental” law. He voted with most of his colleagues, without obtaining the diploma.
