Standard de Liège is the current fourth-placed team in the Belgian League and has striker Mehdi Carcela on the squad, who represented the incarnated four years ago, having scored three goals in 29 games. The player with dual nationality (Morocco and Belgium) returned to Liège, where he trained two years ago and has been one of the main figures of the team.

Rangers is a well-known Portuguese club and in the previous edition they played against FC Porto and Braga. They beat the Dragons at home (2-0) and drew (1-1) in Dragão and eliminated Braga from the round of 32 with a victory (3-2) in Glasgow and another (0-1) in Pedreira. Now, the team led by Steven Gerrard, a Liverpool legend, returns to Portugal but to measure its strength with the club de la Luz. Colombian striker Alfredo Morelos is a devil on the loose in attack.

Finally, Lech Póznan is the team drawn from pot 4. The Portuguese Pedro Tiba, who stood out with the Chaves and Braga jerseys, is in his third season with the Polish team and is the head of the midfield.
