British police have already arrested more than 2,000 criminals in the UK thanks to their “super memory”

Andy Pope is a superpower of the British authorities. Known as a “man of memory”, the West Midlands police officer in Birmingham, England, has identified more than 2,000 suspects since the beginning of his career this summer, just by looking at his photographs.

The British police have not stopped celebrating this milestone. On social media, the authorities made a post to honor the Pope’s achievement. “It is just an instinct that he is such a person and fortunately he is right,” the agent said in an interview with the BBC.

Even in the midst of a pandemic, the 43-year-old did not let his ‘superpower’ be affected. Even if you’ve seen the person only once in your life, you are able to remember their face for years, with or without a mask, he explains. “Although it was a year like no other, I continued working as usual, with the same preparation. I made sure I was completely up to date with the images of people wanted by the authority and it was worth it,” Andy added.

Pope works in Birmingham and patrols means of transport in the West Midlands metropolitan county, spending most of his time on trains and buses. In one day he managed to identify 17 people wanted in the means of transport, remembering the photographs of the suspects that he had already leafed through.

In 2022, Andy Pope wants to incarcerate 500 more criminals with his gift, thus reaching the 2,500 mark.

There’s no hiding from our super PCSO recognizer Andy Pope, and he even managed to identify wanted people wearing face masks!

This summer, the 43-year-old passed the 2,000 mark for the number of suspects he has identified.
