The Benfica Service Movement responded, in the form of an open letter to the club’s General Assembly Table (MAG), now chaired by Rui Pereira, to its decision not to comply with the request submitted for the physical vote count of the past elections. October 28. In the letter, to which BOLA had access, the Movement not only reinforces the requests made previously, but also asks for a complete clarification on other electoral procedures, considering that not having an answer to the various questions raised “only thickens the suspicion that persists in a significant group of members […], more than 2000 members who signed a public petition supporting “the submitted application.” The Movement, in light of what is happening, even asked the president of the MAG of the Club de la Luz, Rui Pereira, “to convene an extraordinary general assembly to deliberate on the performance of an audit in accordance with the elections of October 28 of 2020 and presentation of the electoral regulation proposal so that it enters into force in the club.
