BOLA – Lions announce transfer from Vietto to Al-Hilal (Sporting)

Sporting, in a statement sent to the Securities Market Commission (CMVM), confirmed this Saturday the transfer of Argentine striker Luciano Vietto to Al-Hilal.

The Arab club pays 7 million euros for the signing of the 26-year-old player, an amount that will be divided equally between Sporting SAD and Atlético de Madrid.

Here is the statement:

«SPORTING CLUBE DE PORTUGAL – FUTEBOL, SAD (hereinafter Sporting SAD) informs, in the terms and in order to comply with the obligation of information derived from the provisions of article 248-A of the Portuguese Securities Code, which has reached an agreement with Al-Hilal Saudi Football Club (hereinafter Al-Hilal) for the permanent transfer of the sports rights of the player Luciano Vietto.

In exchange for the transfer, Al-Hilal will pay the fixed amount of € 7,000,000 (seven million euros) for 75% of the player’s economic rights, an amount that will be divided equally between Sporting SAD and Club Atlético de Madrid. The amount of the Solidarity Mechanism owed to third clubs will be borne by Al-Hilal.
