The League of Clubs confirmed this Wednesday that SC Braga will carry out the penalty game behind closed doors at the reception in Portimonense, match of the 17th day that is scheduled for next Thursday (9 pm).

SC Braga had been sanctioned with a game behind closed doors and fined almost 20 thousand euros by the Disciplinary Council of the Portuguese Football Federation for not releasing the images of the video surveillance system of several matches held at the Estádio Municipal de Braga in 2019.

SAD Minho, however, waived the regulatory deadline that establishes that the sanction would only be executed 15 days after it was pronounced, so the game behind closed doors will be played against Portimonense, although at this time the public agrees to stadiums are banned due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Last week SC Braga confirmed that it will appeal the sanction to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (TAD) and that, if it is right, it will proceed with a lawsuit against the League and the FPF for damages and loss of image.
